Homemade Hummus

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of Ziyad Premium Chickpeas (keep juice from one can)
  • ¼¾ cup Ziyah Premium Tahini (add to taste)
  • About 6 cloves garlic (crush with pestle and lightly salt)
  • Baraka Lemon Juice
  • 23 tbsp olive oil (add to taste
  • ½ tsp salt


Instructions

  • Add drained, slightly warmed chickpeas and garlic to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Add tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and salt. Blend again.
  • Slowly add chickpea juice while blending until the hummus becomes light, smooth, and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning (salt, lemon, or tahini as needed).
  • Serve drizzled with olive oil. Optional garnish: paprika or parsley.

Notes

Optional Add-Ins: Roasted red peppers, pickled turnips, olives, jalapeños, chili flakes, extra garlic, smoked paprika, sumac spice.
